1) SIZE

Before beginning choosing the perfect sofa frame, you will need to measure your space carefully. You should consider the size of your room and the size of any necessary doors you must fit it through. You will also want to think about your seating needs, which will determine the size of sofa you chose. Lastly, you should consider the depth of the sofa for absolute comfort for you and your family. While a sofa with a shorter depth is better for people with shorter legs, you should consider what room the sofa will be for. If you are looking for a sofa to go in your family room, a deeper seat is more comfortable for lounging. If it is for a formal living room, a shorter depth, where your feet can reach the ground, will be more comfortable for formal sitting.

2) FILLING

You have several options when it comes to the filling on your sofa. At Divine Interiors, we have options from soft, semi-soft, semi-firm, and firm. All of these options are varying combinations of dense foam and down. Any combination of dense foam and down will maintain its shape for a long time. It is all about what is most comfortable for you!

3) FABRIC

We have thousands of fabrics and leathers to choose from, right here in our showroom. We have an in-house designer to help you make these decisions, as we know it can get overwhelming looking on at all the options you have. While cotton, linen, and leather are classics, synthetic fabrics, such as microfiber, are durable and easy to clean as well. Fabrics with texture and pattern will best hide dirt and wear compared to plain linen, for example. If you have kids or animals, consider choosing a darker fabric with some texture. All of our sofas come with cushions and pillows with zippers so the covers are easy to remove for cleaning and reupholstering if the time ever comes.
